When is an Asbestos Inspection Recommended?

Asbestos cannot be identified visually—laboratory testing is required.

An asbestos inspection is recommended for homes built before 1980, particularly when remodeling, repairs, or demolition are planned.

Inspections are also advisable when flooring, ceilings, walls, or building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical components may be disturbed, or when there is visible damage to materials suspected of containing asbestos. Because asbestos cannot be identified by sight alone, laboratory testing is required to confirm its presence.

Talking about us
Don’t just take our word for it

Amazing! Absolutely the most professional, responsive, and knowledgeable vendor I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with, in well, forever! DBL Check epitomizes a time when a person kept their word, said what they meant, and took pride in a job well done. My only regret is I don’t have another house to have inspected in the near future. I would jump at a chance to work with DBL Check again!
